Tibet and Copenhague. The serious problem at Tibet plateau

TIBET & COPENHAGEN News Desk - Climate scientists have called Tibet the 'world's third pole' because it contains the biggest ice fields outside of the Arctic and Antarctic. The Tibetan plateau is warming twice as fast as the rest of the world and the impact of the now melting glaciers is feared to be catastrophic. Parliamentarians from 16 countries wrote to the head of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen that was held this month, urging negotiators to take into account the global implications of climate change in Tibet.
